Baking up a Storm

It's been a while since I've been on,
Working in the kitchen, taking up my time.
Baking up a storm for Christmas,
Is all that seems to be on my mind.

Gingerbreads, Cherry cakes along with
Fruit cake & Banana loaves for a few.
Fudge with Malibu for adults,Chocolate,
Orange and coconot fudge to name a few.

So many cookies the ones they really like,
Shortbread, Sugar cookies & Gingerbread men.
Date squares, Gingersnaps &Snowballs,
I swear there'll never be an end.

I made their special Reeses cups,
They ask me for every single year.
Carrot cakes are coming and I have my
Gumdrop cake for me of course, it's only fear.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for sure,
Seven dozen cookies to decorate so bright.
With icing, candy and sprinkles galore,
Everyone will know that they are just right.

Christmas is just twenty-three days away,
I still have so much wrapping to do.
I've wrapped about forty so far and 
I still have at least fifty more for just a few.

So I'll rest this evening, my hubby says,
Pick up tomorrow when the clock strikes eight.
I sure hope you're all ready for that  special day.
Can't take a chance on being too late.
