Our Inalienable Possession

- What we are made of - isn't it written in our genes? -

Twenty-six letters in my alphabet:
Life is a combination,
A double helix
Of information.

Subtle strands
Like stairs
Leading to heaven or hell,
Clearly both of them on earth.

On this planet of ours -
We are similar yet different -
We share the same language:
A multifaceted crystal, vibrating.

At molecular level
We have so much in common,
Sameness brightening up - in infinity -
And turning loneliness into bliss.

The number of possibilities,
Give us all the freedom
That no one can buy;
"Life is simply not for sale".

In an ocean of perpetual movement,
Forever adapting, evolving,
Each drop is still responsible
For the direction taken.

It's our skin, our blood,
Our conscience, our world,
Our integrity, our fragility;
Our pulsating mind-body.

We are palimpsests
With writings and drawings
That only belong to us;
"Our lives are simply not for sale."

In the everyday view of life, we are all a part of the energy that created the Universe...we can't even see the depth of life because we only live the molecular level of our being...it seems we have crossed paths within each others...DNA...and landed within mixed genes...

nice work, Axilea...

I don't know. This palimsest--Me--has so many crossed-out words in it, I can barely understand what it says. The letters are in the right order, I'm sure. Not for sale!--I'm sure. Trying to make the writings belong to me--that's the trick. Sometimes when I'm quiet, quiet, my mind reads the writings to me--explains the drawings, but I can never quite make out what she's trying to say. --You're incredible--bringing the questions that matter out into the open--that's you. --Charlie
