whiteness voice, instruments,
each of them fails, wholeness suceedes
in doing the Work,
the Work of Beauty.
Harmonious, whiteness, don't cover up the meaning of these words. Togetherness abides within us all and we eventually find it with our without our beauty. Most animals attract their mates by bird calls, and other mating sounds, like a siren at sea etc. Beauty in every creature on earth can be seen as you look for it.
the magic of a moment, captured wholly but not concretely; abstract and obtuse and yet entirely tangible. The je ne sais quoi of Beauty as it races in and through our fingers is traced so as to leave its template here in your words. Wonderful work as always, Axilea. TY Kate xx
Nice display of thought...your view expresses more than one can decipher for beauty has dimensions from beyond the beginning of time. It is the creator or creation where it all begins....even in the husded silence or the footsteps....there is beauty even within a single thought...
you have brought this out within our eyes so as to see beauty from the simpleness of a poem...
"Footsteps in Cream..."-- brilliant-- positively brilliant line... The whole piece is just hold-your-breath-till-the-end exquisite. See... I have not the voice, nor the instruments to do it justice.
Reading the other reviews, I see I'm not alone. --Could describe "David" or Pavarati or Motzart...
But there's an irony to the poem. The shape looks for all the world like one of those clay Incan gods... squat and round, offering all they have to the great INTI..., god of the Sun... so, to me, in a sense it was a reminder that we needn't offer up our lives to the god of beauty... we shouldn't give sacrifice our all to this end, but be a whole being integra-- and in so being, therein lies a work of beauty.
Yes, the more I look at this poem, the more I see this... Clever-- especially the hints of "one-dimensional continuity" and variables... also, to read the end again, I see two ways of reading it-- each piece (alone) will fail to make beauty... voice, instruments, whiteness... each is not enough, it's the whole. --Profoundly wise, Axilea. --Charlie
...like carved carrara marble; a michelangelo in words. .. .. the woman behind the 'masque'. ...
such beauty lies only in the hands of who can see truly.

Where can I find eloquently designed and flowing words, words that whisper to me and inspire me? Here, I always find that here in your poems. Thanks for creating yet another one for me to enjoy, Deborah
Well your wholeness has certainly prevailed in this lovely poem that reads like a soft breeze on a quiet evening. Very nicley done indeed Axilea,

Book 2 of The Commander and the Chief series finds the Chief "on the warpath" and "counting coup" with her enemies on both sides of the ocean. Meanwhile, she fights an indictment and risks losing her latest love, the Commander, as well as unleashing
“We’re going to use nine megaton warheads in space and we’re not sure they’re large enough to be effective. Why would you even consider using kiloton-range surface-to-air warheads as back-up?” The answer was succinct. “Because they’re all we have.”
