There was a sweet little princess
That liked to wear jeans
Normally her clothes were priceless
And she had the means
After removing her garments of lace
Putting on old clothes in their place
She would sneak out the palace
Run loose in her own free space
She would go to town and feel all the delights
Act wild and young dance in the night lights
Tease all the boys give them cute winks
Then hit the clubs for tall cold drinks
We all know the story she had to be back by midnight
In a panic while running she lost a shoe
She looked back at the shoe the palace is in sight
The princess froze lost at what to do
If she goes back for the shoe she will be in trouble to late
When she runs home with one shoe there'll be a big debate
That is quite a predicament to be in
When your a princess stinking of gin
The princess kicked off the other shoe and ran home barefoot
It was one minute to 12 the old cloths in a basket she put
After diving into bed she pulled the covers over her head
Tomorrow night I'll wear my tall tight leather boots instead
Reminds me of that old song, These Boots Are Made For Walking, also a cute twist on a timeless fairytale...full of humor and cleverly written, enjoyed! Hey, I think I had a pair of those boots too, maybe in the seventies...boy, I hadn't thought about that in a long time! Enjoyed my friend!
