My mind wonders
As my weary body slips
Between the cold, lonely sheets,
And my eyes and my ringless hand settle
Upon your pillow:
Where are you tonight?
Do you think of me?
Do you remember our time together
With any fondness of heart?
I can still smell you
Upon the cotton fabric,
And feel your touch deep within my soul.
How I wish you'd come home,
Come back home to me.
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
