The night passes
In long, long hours
As I go about my work;
Outside the first rain in days
Falls gently upon the streets,
And the city lights
Shine like beacons through the wet;
The air is soft,
All the world seems peaceful,
Until...
From the trees ringing the building
The starlings suddenly squabble
Like feuding neighbors,
Only to grow quiet a moment later.
One can almost hear the Earth
Slaking her thirst
From this long overdue bounty.
As the coming dawn approaches,
More and more cars drive past,
The sprays from their tires
Adding to the drenching of the grass.
The world is waking up,
But soon I will sleep,
Lulled sweetly to slumber
By the tender beat of the rain.

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
