I wrote this for a poetry class I am currently taking. We were limited to 15 lines describing something from real life and had to open with a predeterrmined line. Sorry it turned out so dark.
It would be
Much to dangerous
To talk about
My first experience
With love.
Talking might open
The door to dreams
Best left behind
A lock and key.
I'd rather not remember
The agony
Of my first rejection,
The beginnings of
The complete annihilation
Of hope.
The pain of rejection is so powerful that it would take many sentences as to the effect it has on a person and how it is a wound that leaves a scab that does not completely heal. Great write on a subject some people can relate to unfortunately. Not me though, thankfully.
TRUE STORY. Bella survived an abusive powerbroker father with organized crime ties, a drug-addicted mother and a physically/sexually abusive brother. Shocking & inspirational. When she couldn't cry, she tattooed a crying angel to cry for her.
