“Miracles are very rare, but for Christmas one would do: to hear the doorbell ring and have you walk, smiling, through.”
-Anonymous

Poem Artwork

In a darkened room
The tree glows
With hundreds
Of multi-colored lights,
Illuminating
The gaily wrapped gifts
Beneath its branches.
It is another
Christmas Eve
Without you
And even though
Thousands of miles
And an active war zone
Separate us,
I find comfort in knowing
You are thinking of me
And anticipating
Our "date" via Skype
In just a few short hours.
I pray the new year
Will bring you home safely
To my waiting
And eager arms
And that you never have
To leave me
Again.

Moving verses that give rise to thoughts of those far away from us in physical distance and yet right here with us in our hearts. Love, peace, and best wishes to you, Rebecca,

Regis. 🎄🌺🍁
