Sometimes I wake up Grumpy, Most times I let her sleep, It all depends upon how much My life I want to keep. She really is a sweetheart (Once she wakes and breaks her fast), But early on her mood is foul And she screeches epithets. No one at work or church or school Could know the horrid truth, But if they did they would agree At dawn she's most uncouth! c. 1995

A good examination of the side of our personality that, quite often goes unnoticed because it is revealed only when we get up on the wrong side of the bed in the morning.

I see it was written in 1995, so now you are no longer grumpy waking up and can post it for us to all see.

Love it! It applies so well when reader thinks of it as talking to oneself in the mirror as the image hints at but also to those who wake up with someone each morning and know their sunrise natures. Well done!
