Up to the point, she drove, in her car
To look out on the lake
She sat there, contemplative
Reviewing her mistake
She could have done things differently
But then, it might have turned out worse
So many cold alternatives
Began to make her curse
Things were just the way they were
Though, change was now enevitable
The things that she looked forward to
Overshaddowed the regrettable
She laid her head back on the seat
While tears streamed down her face
She knew she'd hurt someone she'd loved
And be looked on in disgrace
But the years of empty longing
Finally took their toll
And it was time to pick up the pieces
To try to become whole
It seems, sometimes , that happiness
Is only found thru pain
So she dried her eyes..well worth it all
To feel it once again
*the moral, may lack morals, but in the end...longsuffering. only means....suffering for a long time. and though one can be beaten down....the trick is to never be beaten!...after awhile, you get your 'nuffs'.......my love, always.....k

So many tears,
So many fears
so many a thought
so pain has wrought
so embrace a season,
so love may reason.
