Wearin Of Tha Green

On St Paddy’s day
There will sure to be seen
Irish eyes smiling
And tha wearnin of tha green
There’ll be big parades
And mugs of green beer
Friendly pats on the back
And lots of blarney to hear
We Irish are a rowdy bunch
Sneakin our Irish whiskey
Into the church’s virgin punch
Watch out for the wee folk
They’ll be comin out tanight
We’ll be howlin like a banshee
Afore the early mornin light
On St Paddy’s day tis true
All are welcomed as Irish Kin
And if you’d like to party with us
Why, we’ll fill your mug again
We Irish are known for three things
And on St. Paddy’s we do em all
We drink, we fight and then
Into the throes of love we fall
Welcome now one and all
And be sure to wear tha green
‘Twil be the grandest party
Honorary Irish have ever seen
Come dance the day away
Drink a toast to the Emerald Isle
A Paddy’s Day party with the Irish
Will leave you with fond memories
a headache and a smile
