Angel White

Santa has a little poodle
Her name is Angel White
She snuggles on his lap
and keeps him warm
on winter nights

She’s a tiny bit of fluff
with happy sparkling
button black eyes
Santa likes to spoil her
with a Christmas surprise

Santa chooses her present
wraps it in pretty paper
ties it with satin bows
What ‘s in Angel White’s box
only a Poodle’s nose knows

Turning it round, upside down
she sniffs it and shakes it
but the tag attached reads,
"Better be a good girl and
not open ‘til Christmas Eve”

When Christmas Eve arrives
she merrily barks and dances
around Santa’s chair with glee
ready to open her pretty present
anxious to see what it could be

She rips off the paper and bow
and what does she find inside?
A little bone to chew on and
a pink wool sweater to wear
that night on a long sleigh ride

So if you hear on your rooftop
the pitter patter of tiny paws
it’s only Miss Angel White
with Dear Old Santa Clause
