Did you hear about Peggy the Poodle?
Seems she just went off her noodle
Last Saturday, On the fifth of May
She ran away to Bali with a Beagle
Oh No, Jo Jo, please say it's not so
Did respect her but now I reject her
Was she with puppies, may I ask?
Or was she just tired of her past?
Well, I heard the Beagle isn't legal
but he knows how to catch and fetch
He's a handsome canine, looking so fine
and her ex, Pierre, is such a wretch
I hope she'll be happy in the tropics
She has long been the star of our topics
I knew she'd leave, that's what she'd do

I love it when you come back. At this time you came back with something new and so refreshing. Humorous, too! I've heard that gossip is a "dog eat dog world," but this takes the cake!
I was introduced to the doggy gossip world when our Tobias McCracken McMuffin (Toby, for short) our purebred Lhasa apso who traced his linage back to Tibet with his large lung case chest enabling him to breathe the high-altitude air very well but sea level high humidity and heat very badly, got loose one day. Always horny, he headed for the closest female in heat. One day as I was driving around the neighborhood trying to find him, I spotted him trying to mate with a female Labrador about 10 times his size. Since he was blonde and she was black, they could have been quite a scandal but, I found him wheezing in frustration. To say the least, he wasn't up to it. ;-)
Deputy Dave Jenkins sets out to find the murderer of the local high school principal, aided by a voice from the grave that is sometimes helpful and sometimes misleading.
