... flags bow in intolerable sorrow, weighed down with the blood of soldiers that cries out to be heard: to be remembered for the price they paid; to be compensated for the brokenness of body and mind; is that too much to ask? Apparently, it is. While we rage about the war, the war, the war, war, war, casualties are passing by on conveyor belts into the system of apathy, to die without dying, homeless and hungry on the freedom streets they fought for; the invisible; forgotten; this, the thanks they get.
Thanks, we need to hear that someone cares, coming back from Nam they spat after us, the same people that cheered up with a paper-ticket parade when we came back from WWII and were proud of us when we came back from Korea.
When your Country calls, someone need to answer.

I pray for our troops daily, I come from a military family, My Grandfather fought in world war two and my uncle in Nam, I know they were both deeply touched by there experiences

Very touching we all should thank our troops and give them the respect they deserve. My husband was in Vietnam and what they did for us all should be appreciated. Same with our troops now.

How right you are, I spoke to one outside grand central NY, all i could do was give him the few bucks he needed on a cold december night. I told passers bye they should be ashamed as they were literally walking into him as he sat on the sidewalk, yet they looked a me as if i were bonkers. The sally ally said he is a ligit ex Nam.
