Karen and I were the recipients of beautiful Somalian scarves, sent with gratitude and love from our friend and brother, Abdi-Noor Mohamed. It is us who should be grateful; thank you!
Africa envelopes us in delicate color sent from far, far away.
Beauty and hope wraps twin shoulders with whispers of love, gratitude and peace --
How very thoughtful of you Abdi.
You guys are the best, great write.
that's why I like my AD friends, not only good writers, but good people as well. Write on!
This is the greatest piece of poetry I have ever stumpled upon. I have sent the scarves from Hargeisa, Somali-land where I met with an American researcher who was going back to America after a few days. Had I invested millions of dollars in a busines venture I would possibly have gained a great deal material profit but never would I have earned such a beautiful tribute from a great poetess in America. Thank you dear sister and friend Karla. You and Karen are ever in my prayers

The plight of Abdi-Noor is to be pitied, a country devasted by different factions. Yet he is kind hearted enough. Victor
Beautiful piece Karla as I know many of us share in the love of our fellow poet friend Abdi-Noor. I was saddened his visa was denied probably because of his name and religion. I had looked forward to seeing him. Were it not for the den and the beauty housed herein I would also have missed you. PLB&G for caring and sharing. <Mikii>
Giving praise to a friend is like recognizing which we really are worth of his friendship.
Abdi Noor took a little piece of his beloved Africa to share.
AD has been converted in the waterhole where the kind of spirit can quench friedship thirst.
Well done.

God bless Abdi Noor and may you enjoy the beauty of his gift always. Wonderful poem Karla ,it uplifts us all to know how warm and loving friendships thrive among us here in the den!Thank you for sharing!
That was a very nice gesture from our friend from across the ocean. A very thoughtful person; yes, that's Abdi-noor, even in times of trouble and uncertainty. The world needs more peace warriors like him; God bless him! Beautiful write, Karla; very well penned! BRAVA!

Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
You guys are the best, great write.
