Can hear it roaring in the distance - Don't see it, just hear it. Like dreams of falling: You know, when you hit the ground, you'll die? That scares me the most: will I wake up in time?
"Welcome To My Nightmare" yes conjurs up fearful images of such storms as only you can Storm Spinna'...heeeheee.
I don't know but do believe most people survive tornadoes if you think about how many there are these days.

Here, in Italy we have the occasional earth tremor. In Connecticut, where I'm from, incredible snow storms. My mom, whom I'm going to be visiting next week,lives in Florida and has to deal with hurricanes. No matter where you live, there's weather to contend with! Don't let the fear stop you from living Karla! But then again, your fear has helped you write some incredible poetry! And what a fantastic photo!
Karla, if I could give you and Karen my basement I surely would. Do you see the basement you make yourself every day in your poems? Sure it is only symbolic, but is that not very very significant. Great work.
Come on out to visit me in California, dear Karla. They say we have a dozen earthquakes every night. Other experts say that some day California will just break off and float out into the Pacific.
To be candid, I haven't felt a tremor for fifteen years. I just sleep through the night dreaming of the violent shakings of yesteryear. But maybe I'm confused. Maybe I'm just remembering my younger days when even my bed would quake at the sight of stud like me. Memories of youth are often self-deceiving.
Still, I remember vividly my days in the mid-West and the roar of the approaching train in the sky. Tain't fun at all.

I can't imagine never being secure because of the weather. If you and your sis ever want to move...come on over to Florida. We have hurricanes but we know when they're coming.
