Keep Karen and I in your prayers - screaming argument yesterday, another this morning, all because of the weather. She's ready to walk, in the heat, doesn't care if she lives or dies, as long as she leaves Texas. If I had the way, if I had the money, I'd been long gone, myself - hate it here. Bloom where you're planted?!!? Bull. TIRED - so tired -

Poem Artwork

i lied:  i can't overcome this
fear that is eating me alive.
wanted to confront the
beast on his own turf, but
he's proving stronger than i
will ever be.  more storms -
last night was bad, today
could be worse.  tired, Lord:
tired.  want to leave texas,
twin sister wants to leave
texas, we hate it with every
fiber of our beings.  we are
beginning to feel like you
are tortuing us, enjoying
seeing us stress out because
of the weather - the storms,
the storms, the stupid storms!

Karla, just remember in Texas, it's so big, you can see rain on one side of the highway and dry on the other side! Count your blessings, because throughout it all, God hasn't forgotten you're both Ohio babies in Texas! LOL!

Too little peace in life as there is. Move. My sister worked Texas and one of her favorite songs was, "Texas In My Rear-View Mirror". We had a couple of major storms and I can't imagine living with the constant fear like that! Good luck, Karla. Prayers for both...

Wow Karla! If being there is effecting you this strongly, you need to find a way to move! But you have such imagery in your words. Perhaps the storms follow you because you are supposed to paint them in your artistic way so the rest of the world will see their beauty, not their potential of devastation. This was a powerful piece!

I don't blame you for wanting to move!!
I'll take the cold winters in Canada over the storms in Texas any day
May your day be a great one, free of the storms
Sending sunshine from Canada

Although I have never been to Texas I am afraid that no matter where you go there will be weather issues...in California they have fires and earthquakes, in Florida flooding and swamps, in Canada bitter cold winters...etc etc etc. Fate often plunks us down to where we seldom want to stay but when we have a roof over our heads, food in our bellies and good friends...we should do our best to be thankful.

Karla, it saddens me to know that you and Karen are so unhappy.
It seems that all the stormy horrors in Texas are concentrated
on you. It is my wish that good things soon come your way.

Love, gene.

Karla (today I will spell your name properly) Karla, what pleadingly strong words. How hard, to be in a place that you detest with no way out and no other place to go. Your words really tore at me. So what keeps you there? Is it cheaper to live there then elsewhere? Are your families there? Is it the work you do that keeps you living in a place you hate? Whatever reason, I sincerely hope you and your sister find a way out and a better place to spend your lives.

Dear Karla, I can't imagine that kind of extreme heat.. I think I'd be cooling off in a freezor. In Canada it's just beginning to warm up, too cool to sit outside in the evening without a coat. You are in my prayers, love Holly

What a feeling of hopelessness by being trapped in a fear and storm ridden state. Need plenty of prayers both of you but don't let it bust up a love of two sisters who need each other.

Karla, you've certainly given us all a lesson in how terrible the storms are in Texas through your descriptive poetry. I never would have believed it could be that bad--or so frequent--in a given place. I understand you wanting to leave for the sake of saftey, and my prayers are with you that you find a happy medium where you can live peacefully with what you have to bear. Blessings to you.

Karla, I sure can understand the stress when fear takes over. However, my prayers need to be with yours if they are to work, and you and Karen are letting demons stop your prayers before they get to where they're going. So let's all pray for the same thing,so you can get the help you need. Loving you and praying for some answers!

I feel for you both. Some of those storms that rip across Texas can be pretty fierce. You need to come up to the Pacific Northwest. It rains for 8 or 9 months, but rarely storms. But then, earthquakes are a different story.... ;-)

I'm sorry for being the way I am. Stubborn, hardhearted, hardheaded. I don't want to die; I just want to leave Texas! I wish we had a way out too; believe me! I keep blaming you for everything; it's not your fault. Maybe it's both our faults; I don't know. I wish I knew, but I don't. It's not your fault you didnt' leave Texas and don't have the money (or the way) to leave now. I wish we could keep trusting God, but it's getting harder and harder! I don't know how much more of this "torture" we can take; it's eating us both alive! This day after day after day crap is getting on both our nerves!! And no danged shelters to go to, except the local hospital (more walls between us and Storm). We're stuck like chuck! Excellent write of frustration; I hear ya. Oh, BOY, do I!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <

Flooding unreal, over and over again...luv you two, keep your chin up and remember that you've got a prayer partner in the mountains.
