Hi Karla. Why? Because they are hypocrites. Perhaps a picture of God on our dollar bills? Instead of presidents? Might make us think? Karla, this picture: it is so great and eerie. It looks like a fetus in the womb behind the light. Was that intentional? Out of the mouths of babes comes the light, come the emperor's new clothes. We grow older not necessarily wiser. Practice what we preach? Who needs preachers? Perhaps if we all just practiced. Practice may not always make perfect, but it does help, doesn't it? Thank you for the poem and the fabulous photograph.

We don't need church to talk to God. Church is only there to make you feel as though you belong to the bigger picture, if that's what you need. Although, it's a great place to hear inspiring words. Hugs,

... I'm in the "me, too" brigade as regards much of churchianity, Karla... But I also know that poor old God is often done a great disservice by those who claim to be His representatives, so, like the choir below me, I often prefer to pow-wow one to one, rather than be distracted by the pious whitewash that only badly disguises the lack of real heart to faith and fellowship. Still, I try not to throw the baby out with the bathwater... some churches are still out there doing the stuff that's meant to be being done, but I very much doubt that even they get it all right all of the time... xx Necessary write done well. xx

I too empathized with Lori's write and now this eye catching one of yours...there are too many false churche's out there with spires reaching to the skies who would be better off looking for salvation outside their doors on the street...

There's God....religion....and the men who corrupt...so many aren't able to separate the three. Excellent write, Karla.

There is a reason why there are two laws, one of man made rules and another which is God's laws. Nice to read you again. We've been busy and still are as the puppies are very ill, been at the animal hospital for the past few days and going back tomorrow.

Karla the church I attend is very laid back and not into the prosperity teachings, but I do understand what you are saying many are like that, still we can not judge all churches by the way some act, there are always exceptions great poem

Karla, sad to say but even with religious groups, not all, but many, in the final result, it's all about money. It has always been so --back to when Jesus tore apart the temple for making money in the a sacred place. As for me, I take what I need from my church and try to ignore the rest. What you wrote needed to be said!!

It's because of this "organized chaos" why I am not allowed to appear on AD's front page any longer. Burn the witch! Well, Day of Reckoning came and went and I made it to the top anyway. What's the price of gold membership without the bio photo on the front page. WTF, who cares. I have been banned for over two years so "religion" could step in and take it from a diverse artist who paid for Karen Lynn's membership for about six months two years ago...I was happy to do it. I think you are applying this to the TV shouters...and I agree with you on this...I never watch 'em! Don't lose your faith even if you can't find it in some preachers; you know where your heart belongs.

Not all churches are like this, Karla. It's just that some have ruined it for those who are only trying to spread the Word or do good for others. I wasn't going to comment on this, but I felt I had to. I only hope you can see the good people are doing for God's service; there are many good people out there who only want to spread the love of Christ. No, they don't need to be preaching prosperty; that's wrong. How about accepting people of ALL social classes and helping those who are in most need instead of giving themselves gold chairs or fancy clothes? That's not serving God, only themselves! Thought provoking write!

Karla, I am so sorry you have seemed to have met some preachers like that. But I think there are many who have a deep and wonderful faith also, and practice as much as they can what they preach.I hope it doesn't hurt your faith.
