To those in high office: we did not balk when asked to go to war. We stood up, honored our pledge to defend the
Constitution against enemies,
foreign and domestic. We obeyed
the orders of the President of
the United States and all who were
appointed over us (so help me,
God). We served and sacrificed, we paid
the price. So: why don't you do the same?
The rich and powerful have always used the trickery of honor and patriotism to enlist armies from the masses of people they controlled and used, most willing to sacrifice many so that they could win their cause that they always disguised as “our cause” with little or no compensation.
