the weatherman says out loud
"this is a dangerous cloud"
(GREAT just what i wanna hear
severe storms my greatest fear)

at the radar take a peek
warning sirens start to shriek
(a bad storm is on its way
this is all i need today)

look out don't like what i see
sky roiling in agony
(crud don't like the looks of this
gonna show my cowardice)

the sky is a bruised blue-black
in the distance lightning cracks
(oneonethousandtwoonetho--
BOY that one was close and how)

rainfall slashin with the wind
suddenly large hail begins
(ohshitohshit sorry Lord
it sounds like a twister's roar)

as the warning sirens blare
i'm terrified gettin scared
(now where am i gonna hide
where's the safest place inside)

there's no basements in texas
annoys me no end vexes
(here in my TINY half-bath
betcha i'm in the storms path)

this ain't good HATE small places
my heartbeat races races
(crap the power just went out
i'm gonna die have no doubt)

find a candle light the wick
OW burned myself with the bic
(LOVE sittin here in the dark
target practice here's your mark)

light the candle once again
hear the howlin of the wind
(sure hope it calms real soon
CANT BREATHE in this TINY ROOM)

finally the storm goes by
once again there's sunny skies
(thank You for calmin the storm
these severe storms leave me worn)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

i really do hate storms. they are lovely to
look at, but thankyouverymuch, i'd rather be
lookin for a place to hide...

thought you'd enjoy the humorous element...
this is how my brain is goin at the height of
the storm...ninety miles an hour!

(((HUGS))) and love,

karla. (storm phobic DELUXE!) :)

ROFLOL.. Your mind works like mine I see... I remember a tornado following me home from work once.. lol I could see it in my rear view mirror.. and the radio announcer kept saying if you see it stop your car and get in a ditch.. I was driving about 80 on a 30 mile road to get home, and screaming at this radio announcer asking him if he was F***ING NUTS!.. LOL Needless to say.. I did make it home in one piece though.

We’re lucky in Oz….that the weather for the most part is quite temperate. Oh we have the occasional cyclone or earthquake…but compared to other parts of this world we live in we’re quite lucky. I guess though we pay our dues with drought and bushfires…Still I wouldn’t live anywhere else.
I feel for you….fear is a cruel mistress…I’ve seen what some of those tornadoes can do on the tv …utterly devastating.

Take care, Dani
