look! look! there's a flash of light
streaking--streaking through the night
just for an instant--there! there!
look up through the chilly air--
look! look! there's another one!
wow, WOW, the fun's just begun!
brr--brr...i'm freezin' it's cold
but look at those streaks of gold!
look! look! there's three more that passed!
fast--fast--they really move fast!
there--there--they sure don't last long--
counted twenty, 'less i'm wrong!!
AWESOME, AWESOME streaks of light
cool--cool--they bring me delight!
there--THERE--that one left a trail!
they're caused by a comet's tail--
shooting stars--shooting stars--QUICK!
ow--OW--my neck's got a crick!
make a wish--make a wish--NOW
Lord--bring me blessings--and how!!
showers--showers--fall like rain--
there--there--NUTS, that's an airplane!!
dang--dang!! it's cold let's go in--
i've got goosebumps on my skin!!

karen has already touched upon the meteor
shower we saw last night...had this running
through my head, had to share it with you.
it was the most amazing thing we've ever
seen...we saw nearly 40 meteorites in a
hour's time. (lost count!) probably missed
that many, too! (((HUGS))) and love, karla. :)

They are beautiful! I missed them this time around, but I've seen them in the past. I think you capture the emotions and the excitement very well here!! :)

So happy to see you enjoying such an amazing sight. Thanks to your writing and your sisters I feel like I was there seeing it too. BTW I accept the trade so don't be surprise if snow shows up in Texas :-) Waiting for the heat!
