some peoples (like me) gripes all of de time,
somethin' sets me off, you gon' hear me whine,
i know, i know--i'm nevah satisfied...
gripin' again--i cain't hold it inside!!!!

do i want some *cheese* ta go wit' dat *WHINE*?

somethin' i reads or somethin' on de news,
ticks me off--an' i'm gonna spout my views,
might not help, but i gets it off my ches'...
so please begrudge me, dis one small reques'!!!!

do i want some *cheese* ta go wit' dat *WHINE*?

like dis war--why are OUR guys goin' there?
a war's not been officially declared,
why don't we send de top brass overseas?
den we would know what it means to be free!!!!

do i want some *cheese* ta go wit' dat *WHINE*?

what are we doin' ta our little ones?
starvin' 'em, killin' 'em, givin' 'em guns,
kids havin' babies, somethin's wrong, i fear...
we should be lovin' 'em, holdin' 'em near!!!!

do i want some *cheese* ta go wit' dat *WHINE*?

how can one lose vials that hold the plague?
somethin' 'bout that sounds fishy, rather vague--
don't mind me, i'm runnin' de other way
don't think i wanna die...least not today!

do i want some *cheese* ta go wit' dat *WHINE*?

why do certain folks get away wit' crime?
i did dat, i'd be behind bars--BIG time,
like ol' goodrich--of dallas cowboy fame--
killed two in a hit an' run--whatta shame!!!!

do i want some *cheese* ta go wit' dat *WHINE*?

how come so many can't afford ta eat?
how come so many's livin' on de streets?
what's up wit' dis--cain't afford ta get sick?
why do some people have to act like dicks?

do i want some *cheese* ta go wit' dat *WHINE*?

why do celebs an' at'letes earn so much?
why can't *i* ever find de golden touch??
even congress raised they pay--but not mine
dagnabit, i have good *reason* ta whine!!!!

do i want some *cheese* ta go wit' dat *WHINE*?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

yes, i think i will...some provolone, if you please!!!!

'sides, you know what dey say...a little WHINE is good for you. :)

sorry 'bout the rant...thing's been botherin' me, hadda get 'em off my chest.

i feel better now!!!! :)

(((HUGS))) and love,

karla. :(

Provolone is a good choice. However, if I'm going to whine, I want some cheese with style! Gimme some gorgonzola any day! Fantastic poem. Loved the dialect you used. I could almost hear the cajun chef reading it to me.
