what is wrong with the world today
it's coming apart as i speak
the building's not supposed to sway
around me i hear metal shriek--

what is that sound get out get out
we're supposed to evacuate
everyone around starts to shout

in town for a business meeting
i do not know my way around
the air feels like it is heating
i sure wish i was on the ground--

there is no time to grab our things

fear and panic inside me clings

slowly slowly we go down stairs
i want to stop and take a rest

some firemen come up the stairs
they encourage us on our way
