a little write for halloween

lightning beckons me with needy fingers
come to me, come to me
he invites me to join him in the dance
come to me, come to me
he calls to me and his presence lingers
come to me, come to me
i am hypnotized totally entranced
come to me, come to me

i can't ignore the power in his voice
come to me, come to me
so i head out into the stormy night
come to me, come to me
and with my lover, i will soon rejoice
come to me, come to me
i raise my hands to the brilliant light
come to me, come to me

he reaches down, kisses burn like fire
come to me, come to me
we are connected, we become one
come to me, come to me
in incandescence i am attired
come to me, come to me
he throws me aside when he is done
who will be next to come to me

Karla, I love how you write this!!!!! I am very acquainted with lightening and understand this totally! It also reminds me of a little "joke" we would recite when we were kids. "It's a comin' - it's a comin' - it's a comin'" thank you for sharing... stay strong, sis

Karla, you all down there in Texas talk alot about lightening and tornado's and such, so much so that I am never even visiting that state in my motorhome. Scary place as is this poem a scary one...
Initially reminded me of like a vampire calling through like a mind to mind connection till the last paragraph. Either way I loved it and this is one I am keeping in my library...Peace, ED
