BOOOOOOOOO! Happy Halloween!

Three U-G-L-Y Witches gathered one cold, autumn night,
They were troubled...it seemed that they had lost their fright!
"I can't scare the kids anymore," the first Witch said,
(While tapping
yellowed fingernails upside her head).

The second Witch said, "Yeah!  They just don't act the same!
All they want to do is surf the 'Net, play their games!"
"Yeah!" the third Witch intoned, "WhatEVER should we do?
They just LOOK at us crazy when we try to BOOOOOO!"

"Master will kill us," the second Witch said, "Hoo, BOY!
And Master is a dude we would hate to annoy!"
First Witch said, "Scary movies don't scare 'em no more,
They act like they've already seen it...like they're bored."

Third Witch:  "We've got to come up with a Witchly scheme,
One that's guaranteed to bring out horrible screams!"
The U-G-L-Y Witches thought...and they thought...and they thought,
They took a break, sat down, ate pig's brains and frog snot *ewwwwwww!!*

Suddenly, they came up with a most Witchly plan!
One that would sate the Master...and terrify man.
They would cast a spell over one night of the year,
When it was OK to be frightened, to show fear.

Since kids don't scare quite so easily any more,
That night, they could dress up and go from door to door,
Folks would hold parties, the kids eat 'til they got sick,
Leaving tummies upset and kiddies feeling ick.

They put their plan to work, it far surpassed their dreams,
The Master was pleased by the sound of children's screams,
They received awards...they were "Witches of the Year,"
For the one night devoted to scares, screams and fear,

(But please:  don't tell Master the Witches lost their scare,
For Halloween's coming...for them...SCREAM!!!!  Please show you care!)

Aaaaahhhhh! This is sooo interesting, Karla! I'm drawn to this story because I'm still a kid inside me. I still like to hear about goblins and witches, and fairies.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I had to at least scream and show my support for the scary witches...they deserve all the fear they can get, as I recall a witch that lived in my backyard as a kid, but only at night was she seen, but that is another story. Karla, a wonderful All Hallows Eve poem...I thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks. Peace, ED
