The cats fell right in my lap...their lips flow in rumor...Strolling around the corner...to wipe the smirks off their faces...

Close by

I hear voices familiar

Looking through my purse

The cats fell right in my lap

As their lips flow in rumor

Chit chat or gossip

I must have the last laugh

Strolling around the corner

Just to wipe the smirks off their faces

With a smile and flare

Drift hints of jealousy

In both their eyes

So sweet the rush of excitement

Being adorning

Oh Deb, I can almost see these Tom and Jerry like cartoon cats taking you for affection and treats only to be cracking up over some mischief they've gotten in.

I like this, Debra. It kind of reminds me of Dorothy Parker. -gene.
