He's just a little kid but he seems to have all the worries in the world on his shoulders. The spelling is terrible, the grammar non existent but then, he's only a little kid.

I Stubbed Me Toe!

I’d just collected all the eggs,
Me feet are bare and so’s me legs,
And in the grass, quite ‘ard to see,
An old stump lies in wait for me.
Well that’s the cause of all me woe;
I goes and stubbs me blinkin’ toe.

I’ve done me work as good as gold.
Well, gee I’m only eight years old!,
But still, I wasn’t bein’ silly.
I stubbed me toe and dropped the billy,
An’ broken eggs lay all around,
On the stump and on the ground.

I went and told me father, see,
And struth, did he go crook at me!
Said “What’s that runnin’ down yer legs?
You haven’t dropped the flamin’ eggs?
No eggs and chips for you tonight,
Now go on, get! Out of me sight.”

Next up, I went and told me mum.
She’s always been a real good chum.
“Look Mum,the blood is seepin’ through,
Under all the chicken poo.”
But she just said “Get out the door,
Yer bleedin’ on me kitchen floor.

Yer’d think a little kid like me
Would get some sort of sympathy.
But worse than that, a twist of fate,
I left the open chook yard gate
And chooks were runnin’ on the road.
They’d soon be flattened like a toad.

I tried to see what I could do,
And left the front gate open too.
Within a flash our cow was out;
To see the bull next door no doubt.
I’m really deep in trouble now;
We’ll end up with a milkless cow!

I got the chooks back in the yard,
But not the cow - that was too ‘ard.
I tried to show ‘er who was boss,
But Dad went crook at me because
The bull and Daisy ‘ad a go.
Bet they were glad I stubbed me toe.
