~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Brighter than the brightest planet”
You whisper into my ear
Your eyes looking over the night sky
Marveling at the meteor shower
Your voice so soothing
It is as if an angel
Came in from the twilight
Silently singing to my inner being...
You point to the vast array of stars
Smiling at the moon glittering in your glimpse-
The mist from your breath
Lifts into the aether
Surrounds my thoughts
Excites my boldest of dreams...
As I caress the contours of your mortal form
I feel the dynamics of your soul
Your electric endurance reaching beyond
The lives we share in this moment eternal...
And as we watch those fleeting stars
Shoot across the moonlit terrain
I can’t help myself to think
I am within the grasp of heaven.
As we consider the heavens, it really makes us aware of exactly how big and how small we really are. It also gives us an opportunity to inhale all the beauty that has been placed here for us. We must be very special to have been blessed with the ability to witness such amazing sights. Looking into the sky, I get a sense of how everything is possible for me. Very nicely written, Robert. The mystery of the heavens somehow adds an air of fascination to the tangible things here on earth.
Take care,
Sherry
"Ah, but a man's reach exceed his grasp or what's a heaven for?!"...invasive and pervasive, heaven is all around us is we can but perceive and receive it. Divine! TY Kate xx
