~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dam!
The light traveling
From the core of the universe
Into the warrior’s thoughts
It is like a blessed curse
Embracing the spectrum
Of what is and what is not holy
It reinforces proclamations
Of creative effort
Inside the tasteless palate of a distant world
For there in nothing more glorious
Than to be victorious
Inside the heart of a dreamer
There is nothing more courageous
Than to embrace the initiative
To dance within the mind of god
Dam!
The quintessential perplexity of insight
When it wages war upon itself
For it becomes obligated to eons of scorn
Rising from undecided voices within
From the underperformance
Of empirical innuendo and scientific method
Acknowledging scenarios of hope
Within an unknown time
When men become more than drifting bodies
Encompassing the burden of all ages
Motivated by a need
To inspire untamed minds
Dam!
This is awesome, these two verses... powerful... you are victorious, no need to dream... you are dancing with the gods...
Everything you write is an inspiration to me. You are so deep and yet it's possible for a simple person like me to mostly understand your work. I've been thinking. I gave up painting for a while. People just don't understand that that very act, is art to me.
Blimey.
For it becomes obligated to eons of scorn
Rising from undecided voices within
From the underperformance
Of empirical innuendo and scientific method.
So much to be heeded a if only had been throughout ages past.
You bring to mind Spurgons sermons..
There is much knowledge that cannot be proven by science. Insight, intuition, the power of faith and eminent knowledge are a few of these things. If we are to evolve as humans and become more than we are, we are going to have to accept that we know more than can be proven by the scientific methods we have. To believe and live within that area of unproven theory makes us what many call dreamers, but if we don't accept the responsibility of having insight and sharing it, then there is little hope for the spiritual evolution of the people of this planet. This is a most thought provoking write, Robert with a lot for the reader to digest and ponder after the read.
Take care,
Sherry
To master such wordplay around so deep a topic is difficult as I have tried myself a time or two, but Robert you make it look and sound so easy. Perfect 10.
Robert, I couldn't help when reading this picturing a wild mustang. Untamed and running free.
For they too feel the need to be free. To tame their minds is to break their spirit.
You've penned this Robert with your own untamed pen, your untamed spirit speaks.
Gorgeous poetry.
...I feel like you have picked up on every tiny particle of thought that has floated like dust in sunstreams through my head over the past thirty-six hours, in the midst of my own tiny little life, and have exploded them into some sort of metaphysical mapping of the very Big Bang that is behind my reason for being here; my existence explained, taken from its microcosm and exploded, released into its macrocosm. The tension in this write is amazing - both microscopic and telescopic. And the energy is a real regenesis. There are not the words to say, really, how this affects me - except it just does: a lot! The button-pressers are "blessed curse" and "the underperformance of empirical innuendo and scientific method" Wow!! That's truly IT!! ... Might just keep...:)) TY Kate xx
