Vast New Worlds Ahead

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dare I question the method
In a star’s momentum?
So peaceful and bright
Deep in the night sky
Illuminating a blitz of lifetimes ahead
Crying out like a banshee under my window
To my frail and foreign form
Glittering with celestial conquest
Yet surrounded by the subjugation
Of earth’s powerful grasp
Moving closer to that final moment
When life again begins to unravel
As the depths of time reveal new directions
Guided by a mysterious presence
Swaying to breezes of a hectic universal design
Dare I surrender to the act
Of becoming more than a mere player of words?
Or have I already done so?
Fashioned into a rebel of idea
Grasping every cell in my dreams
Moving into the future of mankind
Onto vast new worlds ahead
Many nights, I'd lay down on Mother Earth, staring at the clear sky and millions of stars... wondering, who in this world was staring at the same star... who had the same thoughts, the same dreams... excellent, as always...
Stars are the most amazing things; sometimes so faint and distant, coldly reminding us that the universe may be dying; then, at other times so close and pulsating with energy it IS almost as if they are inviting us to burst through the terrestrial existance and expand into a state of being that is ad infinitum. A clear night under the full moon next to the ocean would, I imagine, provoke the latter response and release the energy contained (just!!) in this "birthing" write. A real Easter kind of regeneration is here, born of the phrase which I seem to keep bandying about: "passion in extremis". WTG, Jude. When the "seers" begin to move into the reality of the visions that they have only previous witnessed coming from a long way off, it brings the world into a whole new phase of existance, the dream becoming real. I dare proposing the intuition that those vast worlds ahead are an intrinsic part of the rebel of idea. Otherwise, he would not be the embryo evolving within even all (apparent) final moments of a living poem.
Yes, it is good to explore the unknown,
both within us and what we perceive to be
outside of us.
I enjoyed the reading Ace ... well done!
Yes, we are ultimately puny beings in one universe among possibly multiple universes. The world is turning according to a timetable within a larger sphere we may not have knowledge of. And those stars that have fired for billions of years that are a million light years away still shine. What I appreciate about you Jude, is your larger view of the world and the future. History shows that at every turn of the century, doomsday visions proliferate. We seem to share the view(please correct me if I'm wrong)that violent change, or "unraveling" as you put it--is necessary for new systems that serve mankind to take their place. This does not mean total annilation of a species. "Its the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine..." You have this optimism and offer hope. God bless rebels...
We can strive to make a difference and become as a star in the universe or we can believe that we are just a spark and dwindle from view as quickly as we arrived. We are a part of the massive energy that surrounds all things. We can choose to understand it and consume it or we can allow it to consume us. Choice and responsibility for obtaining all that we dream is completely up to each of us. Excellent write, Robert, another one of yours for my library.
Take care,
Sherry
