~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In my dream I am running
Running through a field of broken glass
Sparkling translucent
Figments of subconscious revelation
A spectacular warp speed
Superimposed by inter-dimensional perceptions
Syncopating into a delicious dreamscape
Of fascinating episodes in shadowy movement
So here I am in the center of this dream
Pollinated by a skull bee
Lying down naked in an orange grove
Watching butterflies bloom
In the distance wild dogs are hunting
Among the ruins of a broken city
And winged men
Hover over a moonlit marina
Slowly I rise
Into the sky
Piercing the clouds
As unknown creatures
Fly toward me
Zooming in from the neon horizon
Expelling fire from flaring nostrils
Almost right upon me
I can feel the heat of falling
Falling into the night
Approaching the rim of a foreign horizon
Feeling unusually calm
Feeling like I am about to embark
Upon a mystifying journey
Yet all I can think of
Is that I am naked
And dreaming outside the hive
Buzzing
Lots images here. Could a lost psychadelic have wandered in?
(In my dream I am running
Running through a field of broken glass)
Running from something inside yourself that you don't want to face, over broken glass (love, which is dangerous. It can hurt badly!)
Chuckles. The interpretation of those two lines may be wrong, but It's a great write! (Yours, not the interpretation.:)
Love it!! Especially, "So here I am in the center of this dream
Pollinated by a skull bee
Lying down naked in an orange grove
Watching butterflies bloom"
The images are so vivid, the language so
liquid...if that is the word I want
The sound you hear is applause!!
A honey of a write. Go ahead and dream. We busy bees can't think for all the buzz in the hive and our own worry for winter and gathering pollen. Buzz above the frey. Bees communicate with the vibration of their legs and wings. We'll be listening for the message, Jude...
A surreal surrender to the ethereal world beyond; out of body, out of mind, out of this world. Nice imagery and beat.
This is thrilling, Jude, imbued with a buzz of anticipation rather than with the tremors of fear and anxiety! It's amazing how invincible we can feel when filled with hope: so much of how life evolves is dependent on our attitudes as we approach it, rather than circumstantial elements, I think. This is a colourful mind-matrix of conscious and subconscious thought, perhaps, and it is releasing and empowering to have the "naked" dream that speaks of a positive readiness for exposure, rather than the angst-ridden vulnerability-thing. The sky's the limit... or not, in fact! :)) And yep, seems like our Extra Sensory Parrots have been dialoguing out on the High Seas of Inspiration again: it was a toss-up for posting last night between Alice, a "Leaves"-y type poem and a "Skin" poem: naked, of course! Hope we don't get stung!!! LOL Kate xx
Well I think a shrink would have a field day with this one Jude but it sure is a magical mystery tour as the Beatles would no doubt say and you presetn it with strong almost spiritual images that defy logic yet are so logical when you write them. Clean write my friend,
Felix
LOL, Robert...That naked dream always makes me feel uneasy, though I am usually in some public place and the center of the activity when suddenly I realize that I am naked!! Yours is a much more detailed and freeing dream than mine is and perhaps being stripped naked in your dream is by choice. Perhaps you wish to enter into the new realms with no secrets, feeling the security of known acceptance by those you have gone to meet. Cool story/dream/poem. It truly intrigued me and drew me in. Your images are fantastic!
Take care,
Sherry
