It is, indeed, Jude. Perhaps I'm entirely off the page here but I think you have described the last throes of falling deeply in love, when that last inch of doubt (do I want this?) is finally dissolved.
I'm stickin' to that and saying I thought it was very uniquely told, symbolically as well as visually. Familiarity with a theme doesn't take anything from the telling. You say it well. katy xox
Well said, Poet. To embrace our fears; to embrace death-- this is the stuff of liberation...
Your work is invaluable, Sir Ace.

So very Inspirational. Magnificent! I love the tree thrown in there the depth of the hole. this poem is absolutley a keeper and be great for everyone, everywhere! Thanks (c :)
The only way we can be held back is if we either believe that we are incapable of moving forward or we choose to believe that the will of another is stronger than our own and relinquish our fate to them. Allowing negativity to seep in around the edges of our resolve and sap our strength is a way that we sabotage our selves when we don't wish to accept the responsibility for our own lives and future. It is not easy to maintain focus in a world that seems to be spinning out of control but it is essential if we intend to save our selves. The power to reach our own destiny is within each of us. This is an excellent and sage write, Robert. Cool dream!
Take care,
Sherry
...logged on just to say "hate to say it, but told you so!" - about the response your writes elicit, I mean. Both fear and love are spiritual in essence and, when we throw out the questions, I believe we do get answers and solutions back. But to get anything, we do have to ask and question - to dialogue and not be passive. I know from experience that it is almost "worth" the pit to make this discovery - though we wouldn't have chosen it for ourselves! Great conclusion in both senses, Jude... we regain control when we realise that we always have it to start with. More bread for the hungry here... TY - be well and balanced! K xx
Wise words you pen...now would you send your Ich...Icky...Ichthyornis *whatindeheck is THAT??* over here when it's storming? His wingspan should protect me from any bolt of lightning or roar of tornado!!!!

Day fore yesterday I really did sink in bog, where the lake is drying up. Almost had to break my ankle to free myself. Man did I stink.
Theres a great metaphorical message given here. Cleverly done..
I knew I should have looked up when I was in the same pit

Great finale showing that when we recognize control is within grasp we need not fear. Glad the saurian type bird didn't take you away;-)
Your dreams are always exciting and meaningful!
Sinking into quicksand? Present more body area so that you do not sink faster...supposedly lay across the sand and you won't sink & struggling only makes you sink faster...tried it and it works when visiting 'Nam with the military in 72'...man, I DO NOT want your dreams...Ed

Yes, how we choose in life to sink, swim or even lift ourselves up is just within grasp of ourselves only. It's really our own choice.
