~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In my dream, I am wandering
Through a large concert hall
All the seats are empty
And the orchestra pit is bare
There is no conductor
And no scores on the stands
Yet there is music vibrating through me
Embellished not with quarter or half tones
But with a spectrum of mysterious signals
From the composer within all things
The roof is slowly opening up to the sky
As an overwhelming feeling of contentment
Lifts me above the bright lights
Arranging my thoughts into the pulses of a radiant symphony
I can now feel the miraculous instruments of life
Begin to play within my thoughts
Tuning up with the stars
... And Sir Paul sings "Let It Be"! You certainly take a sad song and make it better, anyhow. :))
We are fat enough with the wealth of modern invention. I must pull out my violin again, and help to fill that concert hall with a beautiful sound.
Sometimes music does that to me while I'm awake too... great imagery in this one! Thanks for sharing.
You don't need composers, with dreams like this...
don't need a roof to confine, the sky is the limit...
or is it...
Jude, you had me right from the title... but... this one blew me down: "the composer within all things..." I just lingered on that line for a bit, a creation of words. That's the sort of line that any self-respecting poet should wish like hell he/she had written.
I especially like the way you "punctuated" the piece by spacing it from cuplet to some bulk to 1 line alone and on... You're very clever that way. Great stuff... I'm keeping this one. katy xox
You are one with the symphony of cosmic love as it sings its beautiful music of Creator's love through the stars into your being!
An exquisite dream, exceptionally depicted.
Attuned with the stars is what it sounds like to me, Robert. This is an excellent dream. I like the vibrations then the roof opening up to welcome you into the ethers idea. Your excellent images had me elevating into the galaxies to become one with the music of the universe. Awesome write! I like this a lot.
Take care,
Sherry
Sounds like a trip I would like to go on :-) Have you ever had the experience of hearing music while you are writing poetry and then realizing it is in your mind because there is no music on?
I can relate to this dream very strongly.
In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
