the Motif Code of Starlight Lovers

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What grander vision
Could stream from my eyes
Than the reflection of a summer night’s attraction
Of cool breezes, cascading waves and sandy shores,
Shared by the sparkle of moistened lips?
What greater motif of moods in motion
Could find its way through my soul?
And onto the shore of lounging silhouettes,
Set upon winds
Of moonbeam transparencies,
Melding onto the contours of flesh in flight,
Moving to the tides
In auspicious rhythms
And feverish chills
What impulsive code of undaunted dreams
Shall be deciphered from within starlight lovers?
Your vision is unfettered and as fathomless as the sky. I am simply in awe of the way you allow your words to take flight. Excellent Jude!
This is a romantic departure from a lot of what I've seen of your works. Expressive, articulate, it's cradled in a collage of original images, imbued with life by a unique mind. Well done.
All that mattered were the inner stirrings
Riddling his heart
With empty reflections
He desperately wished would spring to life
With color and mystery
Surpassing even the grandest of all his visions
... think you've hit your own X-spot, Jude! Your Ode to Lost Perfection. Et voila! And a gift of an ode to all astronomers/astrologers, too!
... the poet embodies the social, romantic and philosophical concepts of life that every conscious being should pursue and resurrect ... the poet is the poem and the poem composed transforms the poet ...
Paradise Lost and Found... Milton eat your heart out! Needless to say, I LOVE!
YOU are the source of your own illumination... Or is it the brandy?! :))
Jude,
Love your language and imagery in this, very sensual and thought provoking! I especially enjoyed these lines:
"Moving to the tides
In auspicious rhythms
And feverish chills"
As well as your intense and meaningful ending!
Flesh in flight,transcends moons and starlight
to envision passion in motion beyond the known
realms into the vast rhythm of unknown nights
and phantasmagoric sights...splendiferous Jude!
This is a romantic beauty to rival any of the Greats, Jude. The images you paint move with the softness of the summer night's breezes and are illuminated by stars and moonlight. What a wonderful gift you possess to be able to put the emotions of the moment into words that recreate those special feelings in the reader.
Excelent!! and a keeper, for sure.
Take care,
Sherry
