A piece of wisdom to sink one's teeth into. With the truth one always makes the right decisions. Unfortunately the variation of truths border on lies. The right spin will turn a lie into a truth. Won't it?
"To thine own self be true". Each of us has an inner compass that guides us. The "will to survive" includes the fortitude to take
the higher and more difficult road. It asks more of us but gives
us even more in return--in self-respect and growth. Fine write!

You are what you seem to be, I suppose. Seeing self in the light is hard to do because we are more comfortable in the darkness of ignorance. Some are, perhaps? Nice write.
Jude, You have just written a masterpiece! You kicked ass with this.

Just love Handsum's handsome comment... indeed, nothing is more beautiful than the truth; reckon Vanessa Carlton would go with that :)) Thank you for the beauty of the space which you somehow clear in your gargantuan ways around each one of us, enabling us to reach out and reach in to achieve such healing metamorphoses; as it is rightly said "the truth will out" and, like water or molten lava forcing its way from underground, will not be denied forever. A crystal write, Jude, thirst-quenching like a river of life. So much profundity in the first couplet; truth just IS and stands outside of objective viewpoint and judgment. BUT truth, by it's very nature, does shed a spotlight ONTO the existance of right and wrong, I think, and doesn't deny or do away with it. Truth brings with it accountability. Hmmm... Vanessa Carlton AND Roberta Flack, a true schizophrenic... having shined the light and illumined the way, there is also the "killing me softly" kicking in in response! Knowledge and understanding of truth brings with it choices... to yield to it or ignore. Damn!! This was supposed to be just a reflection on Truth, but, as p.u, the tantalising philosophical thread has a way of unravelling itself... What rambling inspired lunacy is this?! Love it, anyways. To understand the truth of who we are, to live withing the light of love, not be judgemental of self or of others and to know that we must survive and overcome our obstacles, this is the story of a good life; for without this understanding our life would be lived in dark shadows, without self worth and without hope for the future. Deeply insightful, this is a great poem.

Imagine if man were just love, empty of everything else. I don't mean hollywood slush love. But the true grit love. Sometime real love does hurt, but with genuine motives.
