~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the morning reemerges onto the sand
as the flutter of the tide runs across my hand
and the light reflecting upon the sea
supports the beauty surrounding me
here, we can share
the nourishment of the heavens
here, the ocean is our bed
where we are fed
the dreams of creation
come, lets dream of how it will be
bonding with life’s splendor
I like this dream. I got the same impression as Brian. It was being shared with many but one in particular. Great composition.
Jude,
Whimsical and airy. I particularly like the variable audience. It's as if you're speaking to everyone and someone at once. Excellent.
Peace,
"come, lets dream of how it will be
bonding with life’s splendor"
Every day I experience this in some way. "Go placidly amidst the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence"
This poem is like a meditation. Beautifully expressed.
The sea is magical, Jude. You express this very well. Coincidentally, my "poem" this week is also about the sea. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace.
Ah! The beauty of the perfect New Dawn, rolling in on the wings of the tide, perpetual as the breath of life itself. Such pristine elegance here that is laced with hope and refreshment, delicate as the foaming sea's lace. How matrimonial and emotionally virginal! This catches me between moods of angelic purity and sensual vitality, as I'm off to see Carmen tonight and will therefore be right back into my Tarifan mood thereafter, I'm sure! :)) This makes me think of the expansivity of Big Wave and is imbued with that most glorious of perspectives, the horizontal plane, where all of your body's surface area is lashed to Mother Earth and in touch with her richness, while one's vision and gaze is wholly directed into the fathomless Heavens. Just love it, Jude, and a fabulous follow-on from yesterday's Garden write. The earth sure does move with this one! Anyone for a pomegranate?! All this yak is giving me an appetite... :)) LOL Karmen Kate xx
Living by the ocean as I do, I can say you have captured the moment flawslessly.
The phrase "fed the dreams of creation" will linger in my thoughts for weeks to come. Kudos!
can i just sit on the shore, and let the sea lap at me? can i just drift in the waves, letting its strength breath life into me?
Jude, your poem really sets a great mood. Love it. ~ Sara
Subtle rhyme sews this poem tightly together as does the bond that pulls two souls into love eternal. I could feel the unmistakable spin of drunkenness that one has as they feel the swirl of joined emotions pull them into the vortex where they both free-fall and meld together. Powerful images bring the reader to the very place where this poem berths. Wonderful work, Jude. Another of my favorites of yours.
Take care,
Sherry
