~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I wander from the hopelessness
Encroaching upon our planet,
I look up through the trees
And see the light
Filtering through their leaves
Pure and complete,
Graced by a vision of autonomy
Surrounding the sky
And gracing the sea
And I feel hope surge onto shore
Across waves where dreamers ride
Where the passage to truth will fill our eyes
With the mystery of being alive
Embracing our sighs with laughter
Offering words of life everyone will hear
When I look into the fields of faces
And see what seems unattainable,
I realize there is beauty in our collective design
Waiting to rise through our clutter
Yearning to share our fears and doubts
With a noble conviction to endure
The pains and sorrows we all have created
And have grown weary of
And I know there will be a time
When the world will lift itself into a glorious state
When all greed and hate
Will dissipate into the air surrounding us all
And we will survive and be free again
Tonight I have the space around me to truly be able to breathe this wonderful, quiet, inspirational (literally!) and meditational piece aloud: not only free in body, but also in soul, spirit and vision again. Funny, isn't it, that life's valleys can actually be pathways to higher ground? Another creationist soliloquy, Jude... and what is Andy blabbing on about?!! :))
If only. All that exists is exquisitely beautiful. But one day this lovely planet will burn up. It will become as hot as Venus and then Mercury. And the only possible way for us to survive is to leave the planet, then the solar system. It is a simple fact of the cosmos. A constant flux of energy. The creation of all matter is taking place right now and always has and always will be. Creation releases a tremendous amount of energy. Just look at the Sun. ~ Sara
Very uplifting and inspirisng poem. It is greed that this planet is heading to doom as few want to control many or let me say few want to take most of the resources while leaving few to be share by the many. And I don't think we can stop this as Greed is an element inherent in the evil soul of the greedy masses. If all the people are wiped out from the face of this earth, the new people who will emerge out from the ashes will start competing over the control of resources and the story will repeat itself in a more horrendous way.
Jude,
This stanza:
"When I look into the fields of faces
And see what seems unattainable,
I realize there is beauty in our collective design
Waiting to rise through our clutter
Yearning to share our fears and doubts
With a noble conviction to endure
The pains and sorrows we all have created
And have grown weary of"
Actually brought tears to my eyes, no kidd'n! Your gift of inspiration is a beautiful one, you have the ability to break through barriers...it is a rare quality that you embrace with grace, humility and utter respect for the divine forces that guide and motivate us!
I think the same, Jude. I think one day I'll wake up blessed by surrounding beauty and peace. Maybe it's the poet in us, maybe it's the muse, or hope, or faith, but it's a dream worth holding on to.
In all honesty, all the clutter is just stuff and diversion. We need to keep our focus on the light and know that our future lies within it. We can dwell on the problems of the world or we can get on with living. As you have so skillfully put it Jude, it is time to look up into the light and seek our purpose. Evolution, even of spirit, is a slow process and will be slowed even more if we allow ourselves to get stuck in the mire that enshrouds on the earth.
Take care,
Sherry
You are the molder of modern thought. The universe is the continuing consequence of the explosion of a single primeval atom. Such believers of the big bang theory say it has obvious virtues, but unless it is balanced by a companion sense of spiritual holiness, it becomes top-heavy. If one's eyes are only on tomorrow's, todays slip by unperceived. To be self-governing people, we shall honor and perceive the worth of all life. Thanks Jude, for this convincing absolute in a world without dogmas.
