~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why is it that when I think I’m listening to astral voices
I find I’m speaking to myself?
Why is it when I am looking into the sky
I see the reflection of my own infallible eyes?
Why is it when universal patterns fill my soul
I experience the pandemonium only stargazers know?
Why is my query leery of consideration
And my thoughts are heartbeats from long ago?
And my certainty is the ability of not knowing …
I know this feeling and the questions it can involve.
Your excellent couplets ponder questions that are man's for eternity. There is so much to marvel upon, yet, to fulfill the question why/how is a life's work that will never be completed. It is at this point where we must accept the presence of something greater than ourselves and learn to live in peaceful harmony with that concept, bathing us within the unexplainable blessings that have been bestowed upon our lives. Your poem is like a sermon for this Sunday morning that causes me to take a deep breath, inhaling the amazing beauty of all that surrounds me, knowing that the answers to all my questions will be granted in another dimension.
Take care,
Sherry
... and in all places, at all times there are all things revealing themselves, just waiting to be seen. THAT, to me, is what this is all about JF-K (... for couplets! :) Your questions are the epitome of the spirit of creation, which you represent and embody. Ever expanding and evolving into brand new patterns of the same design, there is order out of chaos and a random chaos in the newly-established orders. Your query defies answer because it is an ever-shifting sand, moving in the present continuous, like Tarifan dunes. Not only philosophers, but scientists are also agreed, I think, that the more we know the less we are sure. The dragon is swallowing his tail on this one, Jude... A Tolkien magical ring, Gandalf! Safe in your hands, but in others' a risky business, perhaps! :))
This is such a revealing poem, where you step out there and talk about what is reality and what is not. The last line is perfect. We will never know. And it's possible that when we pass over, we may not even need to know.
A lot of soul searching questions you put forth my friend and the answers are harder to find then gold in this perfect write.
The images that combine with the words cause the reader to ponder their own fate.
Why is it? It is because you are a body double. Your body double weighs approximately 2 1/2 pounds and is linked to the physical body. The etheric leaves the physical body temporarily, known as astral traveling. The etheric is separated from the physical body only when the cord is cut. For the etheric, it is the parting of material things. Spirits cling to old habits. They wear earthly clothes. Later, they discard these for "spirit robes."
None of this is new. The Witch of Endor, in the Old Testament of King Saul calls upon the prophet of Samuel. Perhaps someone is calling prophet Jude through the spirit world as their oracle. Could be time to trade your jeans and blue tank top for a spirit robe. There is a prophet amongst us on the Den who possesses the faculty of revelation, that be you Jude.
