Hang on... I just reviewed this... where's it gone?! Damn... must have got distracted with the message instead. Anyways then, I love that this write seems wonderfully complete and circular, cause effect... effect cause... and yet it rockets away in a straight line too! Oh, Clark Kent and Lois Lane, that was it.. And the first two lines are delightfully frazzling, like wot I might be with my cumulative radiation... be sure to look out for me, while you are floating about on your celestial bed... come 29th December there might be a Komet Kate in the inky black void! Cracking the whip on this cosmic surrey for two sends a sizzle all through the synapses, and for some strange reason reminds me of the opening moments of old episodes of The Lone Ranger, where Silver is rearing up under a bolt of lightning... must be the mention of isolation and the setting that has stimulated THAT one. Think that's quite enough nonsense from me...
Oooh, cosmic sex. ;-) Just kidding, Jude. LOL This is an explosive penning that expands the mind, filling the soul with glimpses of beauty beyond ordinary flesh. Really, it's a cool poem, Shaman Strudel. See this is what you get for dropping by my den with naughtiness about about paddling, uh, you meant swaddling. ;-) Don't make me come across the bridge and get you! ~~Nordette
LIGHT OF VERSE kind of takes the concept of "higher consciousness" to a whole new dimensional level. Exquisite mind-expanding and soul-elevating write.
ding. ding. ding. don't mind me, I'm ringing yet another bell of clarity (ref. my middle of the night poem - dream account). have you ever wondered if we truly are our dreams, really? your poems certainly provide a portal of enlightenment as to their potency. electric opening lines and, as usual, momentum through closing lines that elevate my thinking (if only for a few seconds). sure I'll be dreaming more tomorrow... well, later today, as I've slept only the slightest few winks tonight. Yup. Every now and then. in life like lightning lighting up a meadow on a moonless night. one suddenly sees things not seen before, with great clarity.
I love the first two lines, reminds me of my poem "Licking the Lips of Luna"I'd forgotten it, so long ago...This one is a turbulent dream with highs and lows that run the gamut of emotions...Glad to read the uplifting finale;-)...
these poems always impress me so with your ability to transport your readers through time and space to places we have never dreamt about but surely want to follow you.
A cloud of plasma. Solar max, the height of the sunspot cycle. Solar flares hurling x-ray radiation at the speed of light. What an electomagnetic mind playground you play in, Jude! You create awesome auroras with your Light of Verse.
