~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The more I know the less I desire to remain
Among the continuous passageways
Leading nowhere
Except back to the memories I have grown to know
Accepting the transient position
That I am more than I can recognize
Coming together into a balanced energy
Of respiring thought
Embracing the synergy
Of cooperating
With the activity of its inspired motion
For there is so much more I recognize
Than the mere habitant of night and day
And there is so little I can identify with
While saddling the parameters
Of noncompliant response and opinion
So I adhere to the formula of the great mathematician
And humbly attempt to read the mind of god
The less I recognize the routine of being
The more I blend into its structure
And enjoy the purpose of spontaneity
Clearing the atoms of design
As to witness the vast architecture within all intentions
There is much wisdom in this offering that is deserving of much more than a single reading. Thank you, Jude. Love and peace to you,
For there is so much more I recognize....
this stanza felt to me like the grand column holding the structure of thought in the remainder of the poem, Jude. I like your designing thoughts very much, though I am sorry for you and others of us at times who encounter the growing pains of inspired motion. lots to think about here. I'm taking in small chunks just now and must go digest. Dawn
"Accepting the transient position
That I am more than I can recognize "
Most profound lines, these. Our vision is so often blurred. And what if you could read the mind of 'god'? That's too much for me to know; for if we were to 'know', to what would we aspire? (sorry, I'm rambling. 'Guess you could say this sent my mind a-wanderin'.)
Good to read you again,
Tami
Tons of old prints, swords, and walking sticks blending into that structure, Jude. Back to the memories you have grown to know is standing in the corner, an astrolabe and a suit of armor. With high ideals and a design for a better world!
And enjoy the purpose of spontaneity <-----Not by definition or intellect. But with acceptance and senses, one's released from such a struggle. To inner freedom.
Great illuminating journey...
It sure can be frustrating as we watch our fellows banter on about things that have little lasting consequence. However, consider the huge job that is to be done by those who live above the fray, those with the insight to see into the eternity of man and past his daily destruction, sorrows, woes and pain. We are but feathers upon a mighty wind, blown to this place for the purpose of enlightening those who wish to understand; embrace the challenge, teach by example. The road to enlightenment is taken one step at a time...even Christ couldn't change the world in his lifetime but the stains of his suffering and wisdom still ricochet within the walls and hearts of humanity. Leave a spot of your indelible ink upon the earth and upon humanity, Jude, make a difference.
With this poem, you leave much to be chewed by all who ingest your great insight and wisdom. Wonderful write!
Take care,
Sherry
As always you dazzle me with your insight into the very existance of all that man aspires to understand. Where others fear to seek the answers to the many questions that linger in the mind and soul you rush forward to embrace them and dig the black earth off the hidden graves of eternity. Great work Jude.
I don't think it was meant for us to understand it all..besides, the struggle we encounter to do so, sure makes us stronger as we go along.
Excellent thoughts here Robert.
To accept the design and the architect who built it is to accept the why we were born.
Ah, yes, brilliant! The nature of vision indeed. The more we know the less we know and the more humbled we become, then having greatness vested upon us. Giving up to get - but with purpose and pro-activity. Letting go in order to lay hold of. Believing to see makes the undisclosed visible and real... something like that, anyway. We can either live life in the moment or allow it's greatness to slip through our fingers unattained: seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary and realising that what we deem momentous is pretty ephemeral and worthless sometimes (like a championship football match... now I shall be punched...) is to live through the eyes of a newborn babe and in the mind of God. Love this... but totally frustrated that my feeble grey matter can't reproduce the quote about "seeing the whole of life in a grain of sand"-thingey... doubtless Gorgeous will put me straight... True communion with life's design goin down here. Enjoyed this free-floating, bobbing balloon of a write, Jude. TY Kate xx
