Majestic Mountain

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I decided to visit the “majestic mountain”
Where you take refuge
When the world is too much to endure
Where the silence is deep with mystery
As the moon cloaks your body with elucidating light
Clearing transparencies
From within the miasma of mindless actions
As I approached, your were sitting on a cliff
In a meditative trance
Your eyes focused on the sun settling
Into crimson clouds of dusk
And your hair was blowing in the wind
Like a sail in full expansion
Taking your soul to uncharted regions
Where I knew your were unafraid to venture
I watched you for a while like a voyeur of visionary wonder
Whose design exited my senses
With a calm yet invigorating presence
And whose spirit I felt rising
Above the sea
Where I would try to cross your special path
Without disturbing the serenity of your light
So I sat down for a while
And searched for your open heart
Finding it
I joined the depths of your mystery
A spiritual assessment of the zen of voyeurism. Meditation in the highest voyeuristic sense obtains the highest fulfillment making it possible to reach the summit of glory. Voyeuristic meditation aims at unclouded vision of the Goddesshead in its universal essence. I like this mysterious, voyeur I 'see' in you, Jude. This type of meditation aims at the perfection and self-expression in the order of antiquity.
I'm still attempting to keep myself focused on having an open heart ... could turn out to be a life-long quest. Well done, Ace.
An Open Heart allows you to witness the whole view, the entire panorama, and spectrum of light
You expose an enquiring and inquisitive mind that seeks reconnection with its Creator Jude !
Superb write, and an invigorating beginning to my day !
Your imagery is so intense. I felt myself lost in this read. Have you been to those far away places and studied with the masters? Have you been to Tibet? I would think that you have.
Alluring, Jude. Kate's opening line, "the window-cleaner's back" gave me a bit of a laugh. You have quite a few poems exposing the voyeur in you. Beautiful work. ~~Nordette
Aye, aye... the window-cleaner's back... and not a window in sight - except the window of her soul!! What a sublime and tranquil breath of fresh air this is, Jude, and it takes me back to your "heroine" of the Protector write. Your talk of paths and light reminds me of both Freedom's Heart and Burning Brightly, and certainly here you seem to have hit upon that mutual source of the light that you allude to, perhaps, in Potent Sleep and Memoir of a Scribe: that "The light above is within you". This has the awe and reverence of both distance and intimacy; of shared space and close harmony, at the same time as maintaining personal boundaries and respect. It seems to speak of an experience that is both subjective and objective, like being caught up in the mastery and trance of the wonder of music streaming from the hands - but ultimately the strings - of a virtuoso violinist. And doubtless you enable many here today to sample for themselves the spiritual qualities those magical notes can bring to the heart, soul and mind. Sounds like a recipe for a good day! :)) LOL TY Kate xx PS I have just last night sent on to you my precious "Angel Feather" to keep its energy alive... I trust that it's indomitable spirit will survive the somewhat arduous nature of packaged cross-Atlantic transit! :)) K xx
Within the range of mountains anything is possible and all is open :-) Your awareness of silence and your respect for it shows me your deep understanding of the moment. Wonderful write.
This is beautiful, Jude. It feels like the second chapter of "Watching You, Watching Me." Is there a voyer series in the making? It would be great, as you have pulled me into the verse in both of these and turned "me" into the voyer, captivating me with the vivid images and the shadowy appeal of slipping into someone elses dreams. Excellent, solid poetry!
Take care,
Sherry
O, Jude,
Breathtaking in beauty and spirituality...thank you.
My favorite lines (out of many!) were:
"...and you(r) hair was blowing in the wind
like a sail in full expansion...." GORGEOUS, despite the small typo. :)
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
