~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you whisper poetry into my ear
The texture of your metaphors
Echo throughout my entire being
As you place your lips upon mine
The universe flows right through me
And I’m inspired to touch the divine
As your eyes purge my thoughts
I become free of my flesh
And my arms effortlessly merge into your pulse
As you take me into your love
Heat and matter fuse
Exploding with the light of life
And voices of delight
Recite through the continuous cool of night
This is a good poem. I have read poems that have ranged from foam rubber snakes on a wire leash to a chrome-plated siren whistle and dog collar ... but this one is the erotic art of the RJF medallion of our lead poet.
That is dynamic love at the spiritual level. It can never be forced, or bettered...
Blimey... this has all the intensity of Genesis, Jude; "and God spoke and said 'Let there be...'". The Dawn/Birth of the Word in Biblical, but also in human poetic terms. And this just IS so deliciously coooool and smooth; like being entranced by the vigour, beauty and excitement of an electrical storm behind the silence and safety of glass. Cocoon-like. This "light of life" explodes with all the liquid energy of the River Euphrates, the River of Life, in fact - metaphorically speaking. The rhymes and rhythms are natural and effortlessly pulsing in time with the images. Altogether a sensuous and melting slow-burn of a write that draws you in deeper like a moth to the flame, with all the scents and sensations of molten wax against skin. Gorgeously tallow! Had to smile at your first line: year or ear?? If you were rolling in a haystack in Somerset, it would probably be both!! :)) Just love it! TY Kate xx
Very relaxing mood set with this fine prose Jude. Made me want to jet off to some south sea island with a lover and a pina colada.
