Never forget I’ll always be there
Inside the light of your thoughts
And the dreams surrounding your heart
Never fret when it seems I am gone
From your alluring atmosphere
For I can hear you calling me
From across the deepest sky
And I know you can feel me answering
Your most secret desires
And I know you can sense my presence
Listening to the contours of your voice
Forming the syllables of my mind’s reply
Never doubt the creative muscle
Flexing inside the soul of all things
Or express any qualms
The dawn constantly approaches
Those who seek out the answers
To the most mysterious questions
Disallow all your misgivings
And give all you can spare
For that’s where you’ll find me
Touching the fabric of your eyes
And the electricity of your hair
And the aura of all your wishes
A superb and beautifully inspiring write, filled with a deep sense of calm and understanding through silent words. One can’t fail to be moved by the fluidity of your words and the enlightening visions. Gorgeous Jude !!
the poem is so beautiful. it's a prescription for life - the kind of life we all hunger for and, at times, forget or doubt or wonder about. what's absolutely incredible to me at the moment, however, is that I haven't written a slap thing in many moons and I do believe with this single poem an entire landslide of poetic thoughts are moving. maybe it's the mysterious powers of prayer, opened up for me again through this unforgettable offering. thx, Jude, for inspiring me to "disallow all my misgivings and give all I can spare," Dawn
Keenly aware of the category you put this in, I hope you are flexing your creative muscle and giving all you can spare to adapt the bulk of your writings to screenplay. I have for quite some time, been going through your poetry and merging your poems with a chosen few of the reviews (Yes, you can use these reviews) and I have come up with some pretty exciting adaptation that is both surreal and visual. All you need is 120 pages to submit. These poems are very screen adaptable, and given a working title, the creative dream and design awaits the poetic architect to draft out a blueprint.
Mysterious indeed and totally effective when we bring our minds into alignment with the will of God, thereby moving the hand that rocks the world. My other yesterday's poem was about The Heavenly Man, but perhaps I'll just stash it to avoid confusion! :)) This is a very comforting voice here, Jude, that both inspires and reassures. Very certain and commanding too albeit with grace and affection. The images are delicate and ethereal but the tone is strong with rhymes that flow effortlessly and "breathe". The message very much accords with my own thinking, that the spirit of Prayer is more about Cake On Your Plate While You Wait rather than Pie In The Sky When You Die!! By that I mean it is a real dynamic for positivity in the world we live in, as opposed to so much "whistling on the wind" with vague and half-hearted requests... that's what makes it sooooo excitin!! :)) Flexing much spiritual muscle in that velvet glove of yours! Beautifully as p.u. TY LOL Kate xx
"Never hesitate to accept the power of prayer" This line is powerful. The first time, I read it too quickly and I finished it with "never hesitate to believe in the power of prayer." Your line is totally different. "Accept" is such an important word. We have trouble accepting things in life. Maybe even answers to prayer. Also, we should accept that time in prayer is a gift, not drudgery. I have trouble with that one. This poem is brilliant, Jude.
Jude, these words are extraordinary. A beautiful write.

I must have deleted you from my tracking place by accident, and it WAS an accident. The poem is justification and explanation of the way things work when it comes to spirituality and prayer in particular. Faith. It all boils down to that. Good.
I don't normally dissect a work in review, but I was particularly intrigued by the line "Disallow your misgivings". I turned that over in my mind for a time and I settled on the prefixes. "Dis" and "mis". It was then that I could sense the undercurrent of your work. It was then furthered that I realized something profound about you and your words. You do not write in a singular voice. You write in chorus and often in differing directions (bottom to top - back to front). I went back and sampled some of your earlier work and I am convinced of this. It is no secret that you are the den's favorite son and for my part, I see why.
This is quite the mystical affair, set in that magical place where fusion takes on a whole new perspective and union of the spirits consumes all that we are. Like a double helix wrapping around itself, stabilized by cross-links spinning until time and space merge and form the cosmic fusion of two beings, your words merge the spirit and the flesh into a single thought and a single purpose. Excellent write, Jude.
Take care,
Sherry
