Undeniable Urgency

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is an undeniable urgency
To free up the lightning
Shooting across
My window
Reflecting on murky landscapes
Inside the core
Of rented space
It is raining-
The constant downpour
Momentarily cleanses the atmosphere
And flushes the street
Of debris inherited
By the modern epoch
Of washed out dreams
Lightning invades
The historical method
Designed by intrinsic whirlwinds
Of intelligence
Where evolving cavemen
Wear skins of iron and neon
And unknown creatures
Cascade galactic footprints
Onto forming movement
I stick my head out the window
My unquenchable tongue
Probes the air
Appealing for the spoken word
Of life blooming
Prior to technological advancement
Where orthographical anomalies
Of electrical composition
Open clouds
Upon a rainbow
Of vernacular possibility
And supernal design
There is sage advice within the silence of the night and renewed power beneath the lightning. Instinctively we know the truth, let us not be deafened by the colorful words of our preditors who wish to suck the joy of life from our bones. Clear and vibrant images drive home the message within your verses.
Take care,
Sherry
This storm you speak of is analogous to dipping your long tresses into the raining rainbow of ink and coloring with new tenacity and vibrancy for all of the wayward polarity to shock itself back into the blueprint of creative design and stellar intelligence! Undeniable Urgency speaks in the vernacular of the reborn lead poet! May the Star force be with you, Jude!
Deep and intricately-woven, yet it has a simplicity that is
positively elegant. Very impressive, the way you have managed to say so much in so few words. B R A V O !! 'Pea' <3
"I stick my head out the window My unquenchable tongue Probes the air Appealing for the spoken word" This beautiful line sounds like a desperate cry for fulfillment, to know more and more but so many things we will never discover. Excellent poem, Jude.
I;n able to move myself to the big city with the wonderful visuals you've painted here. From the neon to the noise and hustle of your life there. I think, after the comparison...I'll stay here in mid-Georgia. You gave me a look at your environment from within your soul to the outside chaos of daily living.
A look into the space of a storm, past, present and even future seem to come together here Jude as you look at the world in a storm and ponder life but again.
