You have been blessed to have known this person that you have written about. Sometimes in life, there is that one special person who adds light to our darkest days. We fall in love, or we find a special friendship with a person who illuminates our darkest skies, makes us feel hopeful, and adds color to our world. Everything around us seems more beautiful, such as the moon, sun, and stars. We tend to notice many beautiful things which we would not have noticed if we did not know the person. Although the person may have moved on, or maybe has passed away, their memory is engraved in our hearts. It is sad when someone so special may leave us, but we never forget this type of special person. Knowing this special person is a precious gift, and you were blessed. This person put things into perspective for you when you needed it the most. I do not know if the person moved away, passed away, or you just lost touch with the person, but hopefully you will see this person again. He or she seems like a remarkable person who really cared about you.

I am slowly catching up on reading and discovered this gem, Jude...tohave had someone touch your heart this way, enrich your life, offer inspiration and beauty to your life, enriched your days...even though she has gone , she continues to rock your world...and you remember and accet with grace all the gifts she left behind. An enduring recognition of value and esteem that is soothing in it's beauty and benediction. Even though the conclusion suggests a measure of "closure" on this phase of the relationship, the height, breadth and all-consuming nature of it would appear to have left more than its mark. It's amazing how "an unresponsive and distant world" can become transformed into something almost completely the opposite when Kindness and Understanding come close and walk right on in through the door. Being understood and appreciated gives us rooting and grounding in the who and what we are, irrespective of whether we are socialites or sole-traders. And strange how it IS often those at a distance who seem to know us best! To me, the ending suggests that the close bond remains, and will continue to do so, irrespective of perceived physical distance; closeness is relational rather than spatial. A most soul-enriching meditation that enlarges and edifies; it warms the cockles of the heart, Jude, and gets me in the mood for Tarifa nicely! :)) TY LOL Kate xx

This reminded me of clouds. They appear in the sky, they give us shade on hot days - ah refreshing shade to cool with; they bring rain to water dry areas and then they move on. People are the same. They come into our lives, they make their presence known in many ways and then they move on. I guess in a way, we're all clouds. :)

so beautifully written and full of passion. brought tears to my eyes and deeply felt gratitude and love for my someone across the sky. it's always interesting to me how one person can be the force that moves us or pivots us to new realizations and understandings. it's also quite fascinating who that someone sometimes is, meaning that they're not necessarily the "big players" in our lives that others might have expected to affect us in this way. thanks, Jude.
