The moment before
The next time i see you

I’ll remember
to slip
into the night

And disappear
from view

The moment
after your gone

I’ll reappear

And breathe
a sigh of light

Oh, the intricacies of You!

Excellent fare, Jude....angel that you are.

Sigh of Light is one of the most-beautiful phrases I've ever heard!

This one speaks of sweet avoidance. The reader is not sure if it is on purpose or just shyness. Probably just a shadow--intriguing.

Tender light and dark paradoxes here... which, like sleight of hand conjuring tricks, has cast twilight reflections in the minds of your readers as to the Voice's actual viewpoint. My first reading aligned mostly with Sherry's take: a delightful, if not coy, kind of hide-and-seek, like that of the major players in a Shakespearean play; or the silent and unseen adoration at the place of the nightly visitation of a minor deity. Whatever, tis delightful. The thought that comes to me MOST strongly is the image of the breath of light: I see that it is the witholding of that breath which creates the sensation of darkness - and that's another beautiful endorsement of the feeling of awe and wonder. If you consort with Angels, Senor, you will always come away with burning lips! I will have to start calling you Isaiah!! Smokin!! :)) K xx

Each of these syllables shine a magic of poetic intent and soulful honesty that thoroughly delights. Put another way: very cool poem Mr. Forese:-)

This dances on my thoughts as though I am watching a shy boy who is enamored by someone but is not able to come forward and express his desires. Instead, he hides himself in the darkness and absorbs all that she is and once she is gone, he breaths out the intense beauty and light of the day upon which she has graced his path. This still seems like a bit of a voyer write to me, perhaps it is my mood and not your intent at all. Your images really sucked me into this poem, Jude.
Take care,
Sherry

This has voyeur written all over it...it's a very lucid, liquid thought of shapeshifting. This courtly voyeuristic shapeshifting coalesces the jungle and the dark alleys of the Bronx, prowling on the outer fringes, interposing shamanism and mysticism Sigh of Light is a mood in motion...

Now this is one of the most orginal writes I have read. It could be taken on the dark or the light side..........;-)

On the dark side........I hope you never feel this way about me.

On the light side............what a wonderful compliment that would be!

In other words.......Great write!
