Reminds me of Tom's Midnight Garden... mind you, with your ability to augment and complement, you could ALWAYS make 12 tea-time and seven inches a foot! :)) With all this merging of inspirational and psychic waters, there is bound to be a rising Spring tide somewhere and with the seas giving also of a poetic increase like with some kind of global warming or meltdown! It is interesting how words can touch us. I read this a few nights ago..........the last 24hrs have been filled with new ideas for a series of painting........completely different then past work I have done......and all in the name of creativty that I wanted to bring to life.........for some reason this write makes me think of the process I just shared with you.

Now ... one must deliberate on who broke off the gnomon, and why. A sundial without its arm is useless. Just as a writer without his/her quill (or equivalent) is useless.

Why would the Gingko tree become the muse of the sundial?

To show the perceptive, and inquisitive, the futility of mans inventions? ... or to extrapolate from the psyche the need to be aware of the pitfalls of man's inventions in context to the true mission of man on this planet?

Needless to say, this was an inspiring construct Robert ... you always provoke thought in ways that are never mundane.

With the cleansing and nurturing properties of water, it seems appropriate that you should choose it as a vehicle for the flow of psychic suggestion. As the waterfall greets the sea the very essence of each is both changed and united...nice metaphor, Jude, wonderful images.

I read this and saw an image of you standing on a hill speaking your poem and the words came out of your mouth like colored gems and flowed down a waterfall into the sea...psychic suggestion;-)

Psychic Suggestion reveals white ivory inlaid with black lacquer on the dyptych markings. I say, let's replace the gnomon with hemp, but still keep the Forese calendar at solar noon, sunrise and sunset with a poetic latitude, attitude adjustment also a compass to read metaphors plumb bob, Jude, when your timekeeper otherworldly name kept the trains running on time in World War I and your muse scratched a noonmark on the woodfloor in company of F. Scott Fitzgerald and The Great Gatsby...true clock face time poetry...
