~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beyond the authority of planetary deities,
Clear of convictions
Surrounding their believers,
The source of an indefinable presence
Gestates in the womb of creative thought
Its absence of structure
Is present with variations of substance
Pure, undemanding,
Flowing through every heart
And each mixed reflection
Rising through the mire and glowing within gems
Constantly birthing stellar evolution
Homogenous, universal,
Without demand
Or semblance of reason
A shape without being
A purpose without cause
Light within every motion
Renewal within dying form
Within the expanse of its intention
It observes itself
Through the formation of its own image
The power of your pen is phenomenal...I feel almost inadequate to comment further, except to say that I gain more from each read and have saved this as I find it so inspiring. Ty. Panda :)
profoundly beautiful, Jude. particularly fond of your concept of "renewal within dying form." observation of the transformation can be a bit painful at times. thanks for reminding me it is also a magnificent wonder to behold. Dawn
We make up our own images, even subconsciously, they begin with something nebulous till they get some form. Excellent, Victor
Space bandits and Darth Vadar, there is always a moral victory to be won...laser disintegrators, we're bound to take a hit or two, renewal in dying form. The tangle of plasma and magnetic electric effects determines just about the form of everything...both are forever in motion, a phrase you can identify with, could be the Image is the Rosetta Stone of astrophysics. The sun is the origin of all energy that sustains life and our arbiter of climate, metaphorically of life and death, hot and cold, the sun renewing itself daily, giving us light, then goes dark, constantly rebirthing stellar evolution...the Image observes itself in the shadows...
That same force can be found in a single grain of pollen or in a giant redwood tree; it babbles in the waters of the brook and it surges within the salmon as he swims upstream. It is the spark that turns us onto the path of enlightenment and the fog that lifts and welcomes us into the universal light. It is everything and it is nothing, but finding it will surely change our vision and our life. Deeply profound verses, Jude. Applause, applause!
Take care,
Sherry
The whole poem is mystifying at the same time it seems to define the presence as spirit,with the last strophe it enables it to observe itself in it's formed image, so it has an image only it's left to us to imagine it.Or at least that's the way I see it. It's Creator;-)Fantastic poem!
