I think that Rhonda said it best in her review below...Jude this is a heartwrenching write, and you give the world so much more than you realize by your self expression. Our journey on the planet isn't smooth-not even close most of the time, but I have to believe that somehow we all have a purpose or we wouldn't be here. Even if we only enlighten and bless one person with our thoughts and words, then we haven't written in vain. Blessings, Michelle
Good write, Robert.I used to feel like that,
now- in stage 4 of my cancer journey, I have come to appreciate
life for the dance it is.Nothing more, just a dance.
Dance, Robert, DANCE. Sylvia
Total surrender of a world we despise.
Self sacrifice in "Native Soil" , a place not chosen but is, therefore we long to return...
Awesome write!

Yep, the soggy goo of the pupate meltdown before the appearance of the predestined gossamer wings and the nature of the true flightpath and purpose emerge... Back to reality, Kartero... The time has come... birth throes are here...
I feel your pain..your longing, to settle -once, and for all time - the loss of..
You are so necessary, and powerfully able to express, what many cannot even put into words. You are a gift, and serving a purpose far greater than you realize!
Remember, we are pilgrims in this world....the Best is yet to come!
A heart-wrenching and intensely powerful write, Jude.
"And for some irksome reason
Refuses to cease pulling me down"
Perhaps you are just here for apprenticeship to take back with you to your spirit ancestors. A similar view prevails in many shamanic cultures. I've often wondered if you had hereditary right tracing back to your celestial origin. In any case, you have a gift, a great amount of insight, a messenger of a being in another world. Does it ever make you wonder the realm of spirits to whom you have been introduced? You operate so decisively akin to a visionary...
Keep growing in your soil and keep blossoming for the
likes of me,please.
Best wishes always to you and yours

Most admirable. . .but I hope it is not autobiographical. . .or anyway, not in the strict sense. Subject sounds so blue. Images
and tone are h a u n t i n g. Bonnie skies, 'Pea' <3 ~~~ {Somebody remind me to look up bonn-Y--??}
It seems unfair at times to be on a planet which "seems" so doomed and cursed. The soul does get pulled down at times.
And in a society ever-changing in its styles and posturings, images and voices constantly reach out to pilfer what little we have in our wallets to consume upon themselves. I feel at times as if I am a puppet that cannot shed those strings upon me.
It would be nice to think that a chosen few of enlightened souls will be able to morph into the next stage.

I'm telling you (just in case this has any shred of personal truth in it) that we need you here. all the same, this poem touched on my own immense frustration with the infuriating madness of this world. these lines in particular were striking...
Who conceived my likeness on tongues of darkness
And birthed my voice from eyes of light
Robert, this is good, a powerful poem -- the discouraging frustration of a life spiraling way out of proportion and a need to return to security and peace. Excellent.

Our thoughts are like the news at times. We swell on the worst part of our lives as much as we dwell on the positives at times. It is a healing process and you've taught us the conditioning it can bring, as well. The wisdom from your journey is what makes this pen appreciated.

There is so much hammering going on upon each of us these days, and the media is kicking us in the teeth after they deliver the bombs that make us feel as though our life is futile and as though there is nothing we can do to improve this world. Take a look at the petal of a rose, touch it, smell it, taste its essence and understand that the simple beauty of that flower is here to remind us that beauty, as well as pain and futility is in the eye of the beholder. Only we can change our attitude, and only we can find the beauty in the cesspool that society has become. Strong and emotional poetry, Jude.
Take care,

Robert,
While existing in this old world is sometimes excruciating and just simply hell to deal with...we do truly have the ability to look on past the agony to the place in which we all look too for rest...
this is poetry at its best...
Frustrations and despair are known to raise people's anger emotion.I can relate to what you are saying Robert. But then you have let it out of your head in such a wonderful way!
'Back to the reassurances of my designers
who conceived my likeness on tongues of darkness

Strong strong write, filled with the despair and agony of someone who has seen and felt too much of this world's dark side. The urge to find eternal rest and a better life struggle thoughout the years growing stronger or weaker depending on the individual's circumstances.

I suppose there are many like you in these days (perhaps you could add me) that are frustrated by the way things are developing. The wish to go back in time is strong. Yet we must hope for a peaceful world, for without hope there can be no love. Victor
Jude, I agree somewhat with George and you in this piece but my stubborness and hope keep me searching for a better day. Peace, blessings, and gratitude for caring and you do, and sharing. <Mikii>
The turmoil and frustration in this poem is unsettling!

I can relate to this poem and feel your deep emotional turmoil.
I hope all is well and that it is only your creativity that is appearing on paper. You are so gifted! I hope you will always write for the rest of us. We look forward to reading always...
