Must be the mood I'm in, but this crashes over the poetic senses like breakers on rocks, sending up a fine mist of rainbow imagery and concepts that drenches the mind and soul. Love the tirelessness of the first line and micro-macro scope of the last: an eternal omniscience. The sentiments remind me strongly of Blake's Auguries of Innocence - or rather, how he was inspired to write about the "eternity in an hour"-thing whilst watching the light filter through leaves on a tree... And the duality of the last line is also delightful - the universe so close and exposed because of personal intimacy, or the intimacy exploding and exploring the universe within its merest touch? Shades of Browning here also: "Ah, but a man's reach exceed his grasp or what's a Heaven for?" Most wonderful resurgent write. You're obviously perking up! :)) K xx
